Laurie is a 25 year old graduate of Colorado State University-Pueblo. She studied Mass Communications with a double emphasis in new media and radio broadcasting. She participated in Associated Students' Government, residence life, multicultural center, Upward Bound residence life, the college radio station, and the cheerleading squad.
She has cheered for 11 years as well as serving as co-captain in high school and captain all 4 years in college. During her radio days, she spent 2 years on Rev89, a hip hop and R&B station. During her second year, she was a co-host on the morning show. She also interned with KRDO News Radio during the weekends. After 24 years of not having a football team or an official homecoming, in 2008 she was named CSU-Pueblo's homecoming Queen.
Laurie has 7 years of pageantry under her belt as a competitor, judge, emcee, and director. Currently, she is working on making "L.Piddy Entertainment Management Agency" a huge success for people who are needing that extra help for their entertainment and/or small business goals. She is also the acting director and owner of Bright Futures Pageant; an online pageant that focuses on what's important in someone's head and heart. Laurie also performs with the andCo improv group based out of Denver, CO and plans on being more involved in the entertainment world.
