Laurie Pierce is an alumni of Colorado State University-Pueblo. She studied Mass Communications with a double emphasis in new media and radio broadcasting. She participated in Associated Students' Government, residence life as a resident assistant, the multicultural center, Upward Bound residence life as a resident assistant, the college radio station, Rev89 as an on-air personality and as a co-host for the morning show, and the cheerleading squad where she served as captain. She also interned with ABC affiliate, KRDO News Radio during the weekends. During her senior year, Laurie won the “Service to the Department'' award within the Mass Communications department for her enthusiasm, service, and positive attitude within the department. Laurie was also awarded “Most Valuable Performer” for her work within the athletics department.
Since 2006, Laurie has been a competitor, judge, emcee, and director in the pageantry world. Throughout the years, she held multiple city, regional, state, and national titles within different systems. In 2018, Laurie was honored to become the National Director of the American Ambassador Pageant and hopes to help grow the pageant for many years to come. Laurie is also the director and owner of the online pageant, Bright Futures Pageant, which has been in existence since 2012. Outside of the pageant world, Laurie works within the education field.
Laurie has started her own small business called L.Piddy Collection which houses downloadable planner pages, a source for pageant resources, and LPC Clothing Designs. Eventually, Laurie would like to use her small business to help aspiring pageant contestants learn the world of pageantry through her pageant worksheets.
